Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
KnackPath Editorial respects the privacy of every visitor. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have under Brazilian law (LGPD), European law (GDPR), and California law (CCPA).
1. Who we are

2. What we collect on knackpath.com
This website is largely a static institutional site. We do not run user accounts, login systems, or comment sections directly on knackpath.com.
We collect:
- Server logs: IP address, browser user agent, referring URL, page requested, timestamp. Retained 30 days for security and analytics.
- Email inquiries: when you contact us at any @knackpath.com address, we retain the message contents and your email address for editorial recordkeeping and reply.
- Analytics: anonymized aggregate visitor data via privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies on this domain).
3. What we do NOT collect
- We do not run advertising trackers on knackpath.com.
- We do not sell visitor data to third parties.
- We do not use fingerprinting techniques.
- We do not collect payment information on this site.
4. Third-party services (YouTube, etc.)
Our editorial publications (The Witness Mark, Markets Undone, The Unfiled, Plain Years, After Arrival) are distributed primarily via YouTube, which operates under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
When you watch one of our videos on YouTube, Google collects data according to its own terms. KnackPath Editorial does not receive identifiable individual viewer data from YouTube — only aggregate analytics (watch time, demographics, geography) provided by YouTube Studio.
5. Cookies
knackpath.com itself does not set marketing cookies. Embedded YouTube videos may set cookies under Google's domain when you interact with them. You can opt out via your browser settings or by not interacting with embedded players.
6. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR / CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
- Request a copy of your data in portable format
- Object to processing for direct marketing (we do not do this anyway)
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@knackpath.com. We respond within 15 business days (LGPD) or 30 days (GDPR), whichever is shorter.
7. Children's privacy
Our content is created for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (LGPD). If you believe a child has provided data, contact privacy@knackpath.com for immediate deletion.
8. Data retention
- Server logs: 30 days
- Email correspondence: 5 years (Brazilian commercial recordkeeping standard) unless deletion is requested
- Analytics aggregates: indefinite (anonymized, non-identifiable)
9. International data transfers
KnackPath Editorial is operated from Brazil. Hosting and email infrastructure may be provided by Cloudflare (United States), Google Workspace (United States), and Supabase (Singapore/United States). These providers maintain GDPR and LGPD-compliant data processing agreements.
10. Changes to this policy
